Here the Toyota comes with a new suv named fortuner.Toyota Kirslokar India launches the new Fortuner SUV in India. New Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 now in India
Maruti is shoring up the value proposition and performance of some its models in a bid to reposition the offerings. The Grand Vitara has not really taken off in India and one of the reasons could also have been its relatively underwhelming performance.
Suzuki has now launched a new version - the Grand Vitara 2.4, which comes reloaded with a 2.4-litre VVT (Variable Valve Timing) engine that delivers a maximum power of 163.5 bhp @ 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 225 NM @ 4000 rpm. Maruti officials say that the VVT engine on the new Grand Vitara 2.4 delivers a balanced mix of power and efficiency.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV range has always been popular for its style and handling as well as its off-road capabilities. Now, the new Grand Vitara 2.4 should deliver and meet the customer's need for more power.
In the Grand Vitara 2.4, an All-time, 4-mode, 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) continues to ensure effective control across terrains. Disc brakes in the rear wheels ensure superior braking and provide an additional safety feature to the Grand Vitara 2.4.
The new version is packed with many new features that add style and a bold look. The interior display in the car has been enhanced with a new Multi Information Display (MID) providing easy to read and accurate vehicle information like cruising range, average speed and instantaneous fuel consumption, besides a 'low-fuel' warning. All these add up to enhanced user convenience and driving comfort.

Volkswagen Touareg is now also in indian roads. Now the Volkswagen company had also came into the Suv segment also. But some exceptional changes are made form other usual Suv's. Its all in the price and the comforts and the whole sysytem.The Touareg walked straight into the Mercedes-M Class and BMW X5 territory to put up a healthy fight and it was able to hold its own. Its off-roading capabilities and onroad manners were a hit from the start and it also came with some great engine options. In fact, given the hype about the new M-class and also the X5 plus the Cayenne, it is the Touareg V10 TDi which has had pundits giving it the verdict as the most complete and capable SUV of them all.And it's now coming to India. VW having decided to offer it thru the CBU route along with other models from its range (read that as Passat, Phaeton and Multivan). All versions of the Touareg would be available in India including the much vaunted top end V10 TDi thru VW's official dealer - Delhi-based Kayshap Motors. And before we could even so much as suggest, we had a V6 3.0 TDI Touareg waiting for us to drive.
Under the hood is where the real story lies. This particular vehicle we got to drive featured a 3.0-litre V6 Turbo Diesel Direct Injection Engine (TDI) which belts out a more than ample 225 bhp at 4000 rpm. Torque is an amazing 500Nm at a measley 1750 rpm, making sure that you get enough grunt even at the lower end of the spectrum. Mated to a six speed automatic gearbox ( you also have the choice to use the Tiptronic),this vehicle is capable of speeds of around 200km/h. Its maker claim's that the V6 diesel does the 0-100 dash in about 9.9 seconds. Judging by that figure it is hard to believe that this is actually a diesel

New Porsche Cayenne diesel to be launched in India
Porsche, one of the world's luxurious car manufacturer's have set a milestone in the history of their company by launching their very first diesel car. They decided to launch a diesel car after recognising the newfound popularity of diesel cars amongst buyers around the world, even in the super-luxury category.
Porsche's first diesel car, Cayenne Diesel was launched recently at the Geneva Motor Show 2009. From the outside, the new model (Cayenne Diesel) comes with the same looks and appearance as the Cayenne with its V6 gasoline engine. The new Cayenne offers superior qualities in its performance along with the design.
Displacing three litres, the refined V6 power unit develops a maximum output of 240 bhp (176 kW), sufficient for a top speed of 214 kmph or 133 mph. Other notable thing is the engine's superior torque, peaking at a remarkable 550 Nm or 405 lb-ft at just 2,000 rpm. This new car can be acclerated to 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds.
It is now officially confirmed that Precision Cars India, the official Porsche importer for India, will bring a limited number of 19 Porsche Cayenne Diesel cars for the Indian market. The base price for the new Cayenne Diesel is Rs 64.95 lakh inclusive of the import duties and taxes.

New generation Toyota Land Cruiser in India
Toyota Kirloskar Motors, which is an 89:11 joint venture between Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation and India's Kirloskar group has launched its eighth generation Land Cruiser sports utility vehicle in the Indian market.
This new SUV will be imported as a completely built unit. As of now, Toyota Kirloskar Motors are manufacturing Toyota Corrola Altis and Toyota Innova models here in India. Currently the makers are selling their stripped-down SUV Land Cruiser Prado in the Indian market at Rs 40 lakh.
The major notable thing with this new eighth generation Land Cruiser sports utility vehicle is that it comes equipped with four-wheel drive. This new SUV is priced between Rs 81.64 lakh and Rs 83.1 lakh, which is almost the double of the present price.

Overview
Mitsubishi Outlander is the ultimate sports utility vehicle available in its prescribed segment. This awesome performer is absolute worth of money put on it. Outlander user would feel the punch of driving it. This SUV was originally available as Mitsubishi Air trek. This variant class was first launched in Japan in the year 2001. The name Air Trek was coined to express the idea of adventure-filled travelling pleasure. It has the normal 5-speed manual transmission gear box. Then this lead to the face lift of Air trek in to much improved and improvised successor Outlander. The new name plate Outlander meant to give more joy for the user when travelling to distant destinations with a pinch of adventure.
Design
From the outside, the Outlander is a very good-looking SUV, with sporty lines and nicely molded lighting. The front has a prominent skid plate coming up from underneath, indicating a good approach angle for off-roading. The bumper bisects the grille's honeycombed top and bottom to give it a strong performance look. The prominent wheel arches are pretty common these days, but the clearance inside the wheel wells suggest the Outlander is ready for bigger wheels.
Interiors
The view forward is dominated by the heavily raked windshield and the resulting ultra-deep instrument panel.The seats provide a marginal level of comfort and support. The side bolsters are soft, and thus cave when called upon to perform. There's enough room for adults in the reclinable second row even when it's fully forward. Slide it back a few inches, and there's plenty of legroom. But this is fairly typical of the class these days. Unfortunately, the seat is flat, hard, and generally not comfortable to sit on.
The seat's padding is extremely thin, so that it takes up as little space as possible when stowed in the floor. Putting the seat up and down is very complicated. The instructions are unclear, and it took the salesman a few minutes and multiple attempts to erect it. The cargo area is a plus. It is access through a liftgate-tailgate combination. The tailgate is essentially the rar bumper--making me wonder about damage in a minor rear-ender.
Engine
The 2.0-litre diesel engine available in the Outlander from launch is a 140bhp engine also used in the Mitsubishi Grandis people carrier, and supplied by Volkswagen. It is also used in various Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Skoda models. For the most part it performs very well, with maximum torque of 229lb-ft arriving at just 1750rpm.
However, there are a few scenarios that seem to catch it out, such as a sudden long incline during a steady motorway cruise hindering its ability to maintain speed, and resulting in having to change down to fifth gear. Otherwise the engine is responsive and pulls keenly from low revs. The second-generation Outlander is the best car Mitsubishi has produced in years.
Not only does it match the latest class leaders in many areas, it also offers several unique features. Unlike the original Outlander (which came only with a petrol engine and four-speed automatic transmission), the new model comes with a modern diesel engine and six-speed manual gearbox. It is roomier, has a better quality interior, is better to drive and is more practical than before, with some models getting third row seats and all benefiting from a split tailgate improving access to the luggage compartment.
